Job description
As a Data Analyst at Silver Leaf Solutions, you will collect, analyse, and interpret data related to business operations, IT assets, software usage, licensing, cost optimisation, and customer requirements. You will collaborate with technical and business teams to build dashboards, automate reporting processes, monitor key performance indicators, and present findings in a clear and understandable manner The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, practical experience with data visualisation tools, and the ability to convert complex datasets into meaningful business insights
Key responsibilities
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data from databases
- Create data models, calculated columns, measures, and KPIs using DAX
- Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities within business data
- Prepare periodic reports for management and relevant stakeholders
- Work with business teams to understand reporting and analytical requirements
- Translate business requirements into dashboards, reports, and data-driven recommendations
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reports and datasets
- Automate recurring reporting and data-processing activities wherever possible
- Document data sources, reporting logic, calculations, and analytical processes
- Support data reconciliation, quality checks, and troubleshooting of reporting issues
- Present analytical findings in a clear and concise format to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Assist in analysing software usage, IT assets, licensing, compliance, and cost-optimisation data
Qualifications & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, data modelling, and DAX
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, charts, and data-cleaning techniques
- Understanding of data analysis, data visualisation, and reporting principles
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical-thinking skills
- Good attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
